Over 200 people attended the 蜜桃视频 Community College 蜜桃视频 Art Festival held Oct. 28 in downtown 蜜桃视频.

鈥淲e had 50 artists participating including professional and amateur adults, college students and K-12 public school, Sacred Heart and Heartland Christian school children,鈥 said art instructor Rebel Jay. 鈥淎ll ages attended the two-hour event. Some stayed 10 minutes, others were there for 45.鈥

The event was held in the scale house located south of Taxes and More on Franklin Avenue in 蜜桃视频.

鈥淭he building is owned by Vicki Secrest,鈥 said Jay. 鈥淰icki and her sister Shelli and brother-in-law Roy Bielser cleaned out the building last summer for my show. Her nephew Troy Bielser also helped with the clean up.鈥

All works had a fall theme, fall colors or a Southwest twist. Exhibitors included Marlene Carpenter, Doyle Saddler, Sarah Saddler, Ruthie Hughes, Alice Wolf, Kristine Lammers, Laura Clapp, Jacque Bedore, Bev Kern, Jeanne Cox, Donna Roberts, Melissa Stramel, Aston Domsch, Megan Zodrow, James Davenport, Gatlin Reichert, Jackie Shandy, Lana Johnson, Nate Schwarz, the late Clay Davis, members of the High Plains Art Club, community members enrolled in the college ceramics class and students from the public school, Sacred Heart School, and Heartland Christian School. Margaret Denneler also brought numerous quilts which were displayed throughout the building.

Jay鈥檚 work will be featured in a show at the Deines Center in Russell in December and January.

鈥淚 will be taking professional finished works from college students and the public to show with my work,鈥 said Jay. 鈥淚t will be called the 蜜桃视频 Coffee Klatsch. The next event will be the Art Walk which is scheduled for Friday, April 20, in 蜜桃视频.鈥
